Meet the Team

Nakia J. Anderson, LPC

Counselor, Owner

Many people who seek this work are outwardly functioning — professionals, creatives, caregivers — while feeling internally strained by trauma, chronic stress, or unresolved life experiences. Therapy here is not rushed. The focus is on understanding long-standing patterns, protective strategies, and internal conflicts, with the aim of sustainable change rather than quick symptom relief.

Drawing from Internal Family Systems, Prolonged Exposure, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and CBT, the work is integrative, trauma-informed, and multicultural. Areas of focus include PTSD, complex PTSD, acute stress disorder, adjustment disorders, and racial trauma.

As a woman of color and an ally to the LGBTQIA2 community and sex workers, this is an affirming, non-judgmental space that balances compassion with thoughtful challenge. All sessions are virtual.

Koren Knott, LPC Intern

M.S., IAADC, SAP (Delaware only)

You don't have to be in crisis to know something isn't working. Many people come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them — managing responsibilities on the outside while feeling disconnected or dysregulated on the inside.

With over a decade of experience in outpatient and community settings, Koren provides structured, trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, emotional distress, substance-related concerns, and life transitions. Her focus is on practical support for emotional regulation and coping — helping you feel more stable, confident, and grounded in daily life.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're used to handling things on your own. Koren offers a space that feels steady, respectful, and safe. She is currently accepting new clients in Delaware.
